Hi, I’m Mekala Stiek, the heart behind Till the Dawn Photo Co. I focus on capturing life’s quiet, meaningful transitions. The name symbolizes the beauty of moments that happen as the world moves from night to day. Just as dawn represents new beginnings, my goal is to capture life’s precious transitions and celebrations. My Love for What I Do

As a mom to two boys, Oakley and Oliver, I know how fleeting these moments are. My journey as a mother inspires me to preserve the emotions, connections, and milestones that make life beautiful! Holding my boys for the first time taught me the significance of these fleeting moments. This perspective has deepened my understanding of the stories behind each smile, tear, and embrace. Whether it’s capturing the joy of a newborn or the tender glances during a wedding, I see the beauty in every moment.

My husband Tucker and I married in 2022 during our intimate Airbnb wedding. That moment shifted my photography career. It led me to focus on smaller, more meaningful celebrations. The connection and intimacy we felt during that day were something I realized were often lost in large weddings. I wanted to bring that same sense of closeness to the couples I photograph. Intimate weddings aren’t about size—they’re about creating a space where love can shine without distraction.

Life Away from the Camera

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m with my boys, fueling my love for adventure. Since 2020, Tucker and I have traveled to 16 states! We’re always planning our next family getaway. One of our favorite memories is hiking the Smoky Mountains in fall. The crisp air and stunning views felt like a dream. We also loved exploring Charleston, enjoying its charm and southern cuisine!
